What's The Deal With Our Name?

Go fan yourself? Who are you talking to — me?”

As you can imagine, we get a lot of comments on our name. After all, it’s not your typical company moniker.

And that’s on purpose — because our industrial ceiling fans are anything but typical.

What’s in our name?

When we chose “Go Fan Yourself” as a company name, we were looking for a name that fit our company, our philosophy and our product. We wanted a name that didn’t just describe what we do, but would emphasize the results we offer as a leader in our industry.

At the same time, we wanted a name that would reflect our company culture. Serious about making and delivering quality HVLS fans, but remembering to have fun as well — and not take ourselves too seriously.

Plus, we wanted a name that was just a bit unusual — something to call attention to our out-of-the-ordinary products.

Because our products are different, and DIFFERENT is COOL!

After all, our Z-Tech fan is a breath of fresh air in the industrial ventilation industry. It’s got the largest coverage area available anywhere, with patent-pending technology that creates an expansive comfort zone of 30 percent more air than our competitors and a cooling effect of up to 10 degrees! All of this with a lifetime warranty on blades, hub and mounting system, and a 15-year warranty on motor, gearbox and controller.

Our TAZ fan is a little (by comparison — it’s actually 7 feet in diameter) workhorse, too, moving up to 80,000 CFM and replacing up to eight 36-inch basket fans while using half the power.

Both fans are built with the highest attention to safety factors, out of corrosion-resistant parts for virtually maintenance-free operation.

Another thing about “Go Fan Yourself”: Where else but in free-thinking America could you get away with a company name like ours?

Our name reflects our origins: proudly American. Our Z-Tech fan is made with pride and care right here in the US of A. Not that there’s anything wrong with other countries. But as an American company we think it’s a good idea to create and keep jobs stateside as much as possible. Don’t you agree?

Going above and beyond the name

The fun thing about manufacturing such large fans is that we get to hang out with customers in all sorts of cool industries: warehousing, manufacturing, farming, sports, retail, and even restaurants and entertainment.

As a result, we get all sorts of reactions to “Go Fan Yourself.”

Some people love it right away (as we did.) Others take a while to get used to it. But once they get to know us, we notice that sooner or later the novelty of the name always gives way to appreciation. When you get down to the heart of it, we’re here for a purpose — to improve the safety and comfort of our customers and to serve them with honesty, authenticity and trust-centered professionalism.

That’s the real meaning of our name.
